History of Locus of Subjugation

'''Locus of Subjugation''' is a Scorn Chieftain boss that rotates through the seasonal activities Riven's Lair and The Coil, where it is encountered during the Enthymeme mission. It is immune to damage until its shield is broken.

Breaking the shield

The shield is removed by killing Mephitic Hosts to gain the Ephemeral Virus, a buff that lasts 29 seconds before the player dies. The player then kills the Well Protector and jumps onto the well before the Virus runs out.

After the shield breaks

Once the shield is down, players have about 1:24 to damage the Locus. If it is not killed in that window, the shield returns and the process must be repeated. Breaking the shield a second time permanently stops it from returning.
