History of Lightkin Cloak

Overview

Lightkin Cloak is a Legendary armor piece from the Season of the Splicer Lightkin set, built for the Hunter class. It is the Hunter class item (Cloak).

The Hunter Lightkin set is Lightkin Mask (helmet), Lightkin Grips (gauntlets), Lightkin Vest (chest armor), Lightkin Strides (leg armor) and Lightkin Cloak (class item). Its exotic leg piece is Star-Eater Scales.

Acquisition

Lightkin armor is a Season of the Splicer (Season 14) reward. The Destiny Game Wiki lists these sources for the set, without saying which piece drops from which:

• Override, the six-player seasonal activity.
• Expunge missions, the solo Vex network missions, and their higher-difficulty Corrupted Expunge versions.
• Umbral Engrams focused at the Splicer Servitor.

Farming runs through Conflux Chests, which give Decrypted Data. ProGameTalk notes that upgrading the Splicer Gauntlet makes that grind more efficient.

The wiki also lists Xûr's weekly rotation as an occasional source for the set, and Season of the Splicer gear in Dares of Eternity rotation three without naming Lightkin pieces. Neither note is dated, and Season of the Splicer ran from May 11 to August 24, 2021, so these listings may not match current rotations.
