History of Legion's Folly

Legion's Folly is an eight-player Gambit arena in the Arcadian Valley on Nessus.
Overview
It has three zones, the Drill, the Base and the Steps, with Nessus vegetation and Vex architecture. Destinypedia describes the article as a stub with little backstory, so the map's in-universe history is thin.
How to play it
It is a Gambit map, played through the Gambit playlist: two teams of four collect motes from AI enemies and bank them, and the first team to defeat the Primeval after banking enough motes wins (Wikipedia's Destiny 2 article gives the mote threshold as 75 for the base mode; this may differ in later versions). The map was also used in Gambit Prime.
History
It debuted in Forsaken (released September 4, 2018), stayed during Season of the Drifter, and also appeared in Gambit Prime before that mode was retired. Nessus itself was moved into the Destiny Content Vault with Beyond Light; check in-game for the map's current availability, as sources here are dated.
