History of Lectern of Enchantment

Overview

The Lectern of Enchantment is a vendor station in Sanctuary on The Moon, built by Eris Morn in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. It is used to cleanse Nightmare Essences found on Luna. Each of the 14 essences yields one item when cleansed, and the lectern offers essence quests that reward Luna-themed gear and bounties tied to Nightmare Hunts.

Essences

Armor essences include Pride (Dreambane Helmet), Isolation (Dreambane Gauntlets), Fear (Dreambane Chest Armor), Anguish (Dreambane Leg Armor) and Despair (Dreambane Class Item). Weapon essences include Insanity (Love and Death), Jealousy (Night Terror) and Vanity (Tranquility). Crafting the Dreambane Armor set is required to bypass the Lunar Pyramid's warding.

Cryptoglyph

The lectern is partly built from a Hive Cryptoglyph stolen from the daughters of Crota.
