History of Kargen, the Technocrat

Overview

Kargen, the Technocrat is a Red Legion Psion and one of the faction's leading experts on Vex technology. He is the boss of Insight Terminus strike in Arcadian Valley on Nessus, introduced in the Warmind expansion.

Story

After Dominus Ghaul was defeated, Kargen turned to the Insight Terminus, apparently seeking information about the OXA machine. He used a Vex Conflux to take control of the local gate network, escaping a Guardian strike team and bringing in reinforcements. He reached the core of the Terminus ahead of the Guardians, but his lieutenants were killed and Guardians took control of Vex plates that blocked his access. He was killed in the final encounter.

Later, defectors from the Shadow Legion cloned him and sent him back to the Insight Terminus. Maya Sundaresh and another Guardian strike team stopped him a second time.

Boss fight

Kargen can teleport away and unleash void orbs that destroy Vex units. Guardians weaken him until he retreats, then defeat him in the final encounter.
