History of Izanami Forge

Overview

The Izanami Forge is the third Black Armory forge, a Forge Ignition activity in the Arcadian Valley on Nessus. The Vex installed it in The Tor after taking it from the wreckage of the Exodus Black. Players bring any Black Armory weapon frame or research frame here to have it crafted. Its in-game power level is listed as 750.

Unlocking

Per Twinfinite and GameSpot summaries, unlocking is harder than the earlier Gofannon Forge and Volundr Forge: obtain a Vex Transponder, defeat 100 Vex, complete a Heroic Spire Integration Public event, then complete a 630-power mission. Treat the exact steps as launch-era (Season of the Forge, Dec 2018) and possibly changed since.

Mechanics

• Two timed rounds, then a boss in round three.
• Collect 20 Radiant Batteries from glowing enemies and throw them into the Forge Ignition during the rounds.
• The Warden of the forge is the Sublimating Mind.

Rewards

Crafted Black Armory weapons, and the Le Monarque Exotic bow questline ran through this forge at launch.

Status

Black Armory forges were a Season of the Forge feature; later patches reworked or removed them from rotation, so current availability should be checked in game.
