History of Iron Panoply Mask

Overview

Iron Panoply Mask is a Legendary helmet for the Hunter class, part of the Iron Panoply armor set from Iron Banner, from Season 27. The 2-piece bonus, Vigilant Watch, makes weapons gain stability and handling as your health drops, and weapon final blows while your shields are depleted heal you. The 4-piece bonus, Iron Conviction, grants ammo generation, flinch resistance and damage resistance against nearby combatants for a short time when your shields break; final blows extend it.

Acquisition

Panoply is not a standard Iron Banner drop. Iron Battalion is the current Iron Banner armor set, so regular Iron Banner armor rewards mostly give those pieces. Panoply is focused from Lord Saladin for 2 Iron Ciphers and 15,000 Glimmer per piece. Iron Banner armor engrams can also decrypt into focused armor for 1 Iron Cipher each.

Players who had never unlocked the set could not focus it from Saladin because of a Collections requirement. Bungie said this was fixed in update 9.7.0.3, but a later guide reports the problem still applies and a fix is promised.

The set's other pieces are Iron Panoply Vest (Hunter chest), Iron Panoply Strides (Hunter legs), Iron Panoply Vestment (Warlock chest) and Iron Panoply Plate (Titan chest).
