Inverted Spire

Overview

The Inverted Spire is a Strike on Nessus in Arcadian Valley, and the name of the usually inaccessible sector where it takes place. Commander Zavala sends Guardians to learn why the Red Legion (Cabal) is drilling on the Vex-infested planet; the Cabal woke a powerful Vex intelligence and the goal is to stop the mining and destroy it.

Sector

The sector can only be reached via the strike. Players fight at the Guardian Platform, then drop to the Radiolarian Lake when the floor disappears, and finish at the Tower Base.

Boss and Nightfall

The boss is Protheon, Modular Mind, who shifts between elemental damage types. As a Nightfall it carries Barrier Champions and Unstoppable Incendiors; the reprise adds Overload Minotaurs.
