History of Injection Rig

Overview

The Injection Rig is a Cabal Public Event in which a rig is deployed from an orbiting warship to spy on nearby territory. It appears in the EDZ, Nessus and Neomuna (Destinypedia also lists Mars and Neptune). Since Lightfall, players report seeing it rarely on Neomuna.

Mechanics

Three Psions must be killed before the rig leaves; killing them all completes the event. Reinforcements spawn throughout.

Heroic

While the rig vents heat after an Elite Psion dies, shoot its vents (three tiers of three, one per tier per one guide; Destinypedia says six grates) to trigger Heroic. A Cabal boss then drops in; Destinypedia names Infiltrator Valus, with orbital bombardment from the warship.
