History of Ignition Toad

Overview

Ignition Toad is a Triumph in Destiny 2 from Season of the Deep that requires catching one Ignition Toad. The toad is a Legendary fish, caught at fishing ponds with the rod from the fishing activity.

How to complete

1. Finish the first weekly mission, Into the Depths, which unlocks fishing. A quest from the holoprojector then leads you to Hawthorne, who gives you the tackle box and asks you to collect bait.
2. Collect Bait. It drops from Salvages, Deep Dives, playlist activities, public events, patrols and destination materials. Harder or longer activities give more bait.
3. Go to a fishing pond. Ponds are in the EDZ, on Nessus and in Savathun's Throne World. The Ignition Toad is reported at the Nessus and Throne World ponds rather than the EDZ pond.
4. Press interact to start fishing, then press it again when the prompt appears to reel the fish in.

Tips

• Watch the Focused Fishing meter at the bottom left of the screen. It fills as you fish at a pond, and a higher meter improves the odds of rare catches. Fishing with friends fills it faster.
• A Perfect Catch fills the meter further. Press interact shortly after the fish bites. Miss both the bite and the perfect timing and the fish gets away with a piece of bait.
• If a pond is cleared by a Public Event, leave caught fish on the ground and collect them once the next pond spawns. The meter still counts toward the second pond.
