III - Chosen

Overview

III - Chosen is a Triumph in Destiny 2 for the chapter “III. Chosen” in the Above All Else Lore book, which was added in Season of Plunder in October 2022.

Chapter

The chapter is a first-person narrative by Misraaks, who wants his mother Kell’s approval and tells her he can raid at her side. She tears off the Great Machine medallion he wears, warning that it will lead him to death, and gives him a reliquary from the Moon that seems to call to him. When he asks why they cannot pursue that power and also seek refuge under the Great Machine, she stabs him in the side to teach him that a crew member who questions their leader will be made an example of. He promises never to forget it.
