History of Heat of the Moment

Heat of the Moment is the perk on the Tommy's Matchbook catalyst. While Ignition Trigger is active, the weapon's health recovers much faster, which partly offsets the self-damage that sustained fire causes.

Acquisition

The catalyst is earned from the A Good Match quest, offered by Banshee-44. Players need 100 Guardian defeats, 200 multikills and 200 points with an Auto Rifle. These can be finished in any order through Strikes, Nightfalls, Gambit or Crucible, and then the catalyst is claimed from Banshee-44.

Catalyst

The catalyst is upgraded by 700 kills with Tommy's Matchbook, where the final blow must come from the weapon. Kills made before the catalyst was obtained also count.
