History of Headless One

The Headless Ones are Knight-type Hive enemies with pumpkin-like heads and purple flames, found in Haunted Sectors during Festival of the Lost. They debuted in Season of the Lost and have returned in later seasons. Players complete a timed summoning ritual to spawn one. It uses three Walls of Darkness, a Cloud of Darkness and Solar mortars, and in the boss phase drops Pumpkin Charges that damage the boss shield. Their origin is disputed in lore.
