History of Harvester

Overview

The Harvester is a Cabal troop carrier that descends from orbit at high speed (it cannot teleport), armed with a Solar cannon and carrying up to three waves of infantry. It drops troops from a boom and lingers over the battlefield to provide covering fire.

Armament and troops

A single Solar cannon on the nose fires homing rockets while the troops disembark. Harvesters typically deploy waves of Centurions, Legionarys and Psions, and sometimes Colossuses. Because they are transports first, the usual advice is to clear the squad as soon as it touches down.

Red Legion variant

The Red Legion flew a more advanced Harvester that can travel faster than light, like Guardian Jumpships. Calus's Loyalists, the Shadow Legion and the Imperial Cabal also used these ships. Destinypedia lists the Thresher as a separate Cabal gunship, so the two should not be confused.

Appearances

In the 1AU mission the Guardian commandeers a Red Legion ship belonging to Thumos the Unbroken to reach the Almighty. Sources describe it as Thumos's personal ship, and the page cites it to the Destiny 2 mission.
