Gunslinger is the Solar Hunter subclass, built around the lone-wolf perfect shot. It first appeared in Destiny (2014), returned in Forsaken and Season of the Haunted, and was redesigned with Solar 3.0 in The Witch Queen.

Supers

  • Golden Gun summons a quick-firing flaming pistol that burns enemies with Solar Light. Its aspects are Deadshot, where Solar Ignitions refund rounds, and Marksman, which adds heavy precision damage and Orbs of Power on precision hits.
  • Blade Barrage has the Hunter leap and throw a volley of explosive Solar knives. In the pre-Solar 3.0 build it replaced Golden Gun as the super of the Way of a Thousand Cuts tree.

Melee

  • Knife Trick throws a fan of knives that scorch targets.
  • Lightweight Knife is a fast throw with moderate damage.
  • Weighted Throwing Knife deals extra precision damage and ignites scorched targets.
  • Proximity Explosive Knife sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies come near.

Solar 3.0

Solar 3.0 replaced the older ability trees (Way of the Outlaw, Way of a Thousand Cuts and Way of the Sharpshooter) with Aspects and Fragments. The current Aspects are Knock 'Em Down, On Your Mark, Gunpowder Gamble and Crackshot. Grenades were reworked into Solar variants, many of which apply scorch.
