Conversation
Lodi tells the Guardian that Dredgen Bael called him out of the blue, apparently expecting Lodi to call on the Vanguard. Bael seems to feel abandoned, and Lodi reflects that VI's retreat and the Traveler's descent may give Earth room to heal. When Bael presses him, Lodi says "These beings are greater than we are… but they aren't better." Bael hangs up immediately. Lodi then turns and teleports away, and he reflects that his earlier self would have been pleased by this exchange, while his present self sees only a frightened man.
Lodi is the Emissary of the Nine, named after the Nine's member III died, and his lines here show the Nine's prophecy shifting toward its own timeline. The conversation is one of several Lodi Rendezvous entries.
Rewards
None. This is a story conversation with no reward attached.
