Conversation

Lodi tells the Guardian that Dredgen Bael called him out of the blue, expecting Lodi to call on VI. Bael seems to feel abandoned. Lodi reflects that VI's retreat and the Traveler's descent may let Earth heal, and that the urgency of the prophecy now follows the Nine's timeline. When Bael presses him, Lodi says "These beings are greater than we are… but they aren't better." Bael hangs up immediately. Lodi then teleports away, and he reflects that his earlier self would have been pleased by this exchange, while his present self sees only a frightened man.

Lodi became the Emissary of the Nine after the Nine's member III died. This conversation is one of several Lodi Rendezvous entries.
