History of Glykon

The Glykon (Glykon Volatus) is a derelict Cabal carrier drifting at the edge of the anomaly where Mars vanished. It is the setting of the Presage exotic mission in Season of the Chosen, where Guardians find evidence of Calus' experiments, the remains of the Guardian Katabasis and an attempt to communicate with the Darkness.
Interior
Fluorescent spores and Egregore fauna fill the ship, and it is overrun by Corrupted Scorn led by the Locus of Communion.
Presage mission
Zavala sends Guardians to answer a distress signal and find Katabasis, a missing Guardian. Osiris joins the team, and Caiatl helps search for Calus. The team finds Katabasis dead, hanging from an Egregore, with his rifle Dead Man's Tale on the floor. They defeat the Locus of Communion in the boiler room and find the Crown of Sorrow beneath the bridge. Osiris says the crown has been altered to merge minds rather than control them, and he wants it recovered. Caiatl opposes this.
Ship records
The records describe Calus' experiments. Calus tried to commune with the Darkness through the Crown of Sorrow, and the result was the Locus of Communion. Surgeons performed cranial dissections on Scorn and drowned them in Dark Ether, and psions carved telepathic imprints into their brains to link them into a shared consciousness. Scorn exposed to the anomaly suffered neuron death, and one survivor became the centerpiece of the studies. Concentrated Dark Ether chambers, similar to Gahlran's chamber but without life support, were also used.
