Ghost Not Needed

Overview

Ghost Not Needed is a Triumph worth 10 points. It is earned by completing the Vox Obscura Exotic mission on Master difficulty without dying. Vox Obscura was an Exotic mission from Season of the Risen that tied into the Kill the Messenger and Vox Revelata quests.

How to complete

1. Unlock Vox Obscura on Normal. Normal becomes available after completing Week 1 of the Operation Elbrus quest, and it unlocks the Kill the Messenger quest.
2. Complete Vox Obscura on Normal once. This unlocks Master difficulty and the Vox Revelata quest.
3. Launch Vox Obscura on Master. The recommended power level is 1580 on Master, compared with 1550 on Normal.
4. Play through to the end without dying at any point in the mission. The mission takes place on Mars and is accessed from an icon on the Savathûn's Throne World map.
5. Defeat Qabix, Insurgent in the control room to finish the mission.

Tips

• The control room is reached by defeating Psion Codewardens, whose shields are broken only with melee. Hack the nearby terminals to open the control room door.
• Qabix summons Psions and Scorpius turrets. When its health drops, three Psion Commanders spawn and must be defeated to remove its immunity shield.
• Master adds Barrier Champions to the fight alongside Unstoppable Champions.

Rewards

The mission's chest gives the Dead Messenger Exotic Grenade Launcher on completion. Completing Vox Obscura on Master and then the Vox Revelata quest rewards the Dead Messenger Catalyst.

Trivia

Vox Obscura was removed to the Destiny Content Vault with the release of Lightfall and returned in Season of the Witch as part of an Exotic mission rotator.
