History of Gatehouse

Overview

The Gatehouse is a location in the Ocean of Storms on The Moon, once a large chain-based structure held by Hive and Fallen. By Destiny 2: Shadowkeep it was desolate and the chain gone. Inside the Hellmouth, the Hive Knight Ehrath'Ur drops the Bound Manacle needed for Essence of Insanity.

Layout

The Gatehouse was a private area holding a massive chain linked to an unknown mechanism. It connects to the Circle of Bones and the Hellmouth. The chain has since been removed, and the structure still stands but looks more desolate, like most Hive structures on the Moon. Brya's remains can be found there, and a Ghost remarks that the Hive "close this gate every time."
