History of Frostveil Cloak

Overview

Frostveil Cloak is a Legendary Hunter cloak (the Hunter class item). The shared flavor line, "Embrace the cold touch of Winter, for Spring is on her heels", is credited to a Dark Age proverb. It is the Hunter class item of the Frostveil set; the flavor text notes the many ways to celebrate the Dawning. It is a cosmetic-leaning armor piece with no named perk or god roll in the sources I used.

Acquisition

The Destiny 2 Wiki lists the Frostveil (Hunter), Froststrike (Titan) and Frostreach (Warlock) sets as Dawning 2018 armor in Season 5 (Year 2), obtained from Bright Engrams. The Frostveil Vest entry shows no gameplay perks, only appearance. After 2019 the wiki says Dawning armor moved to ornaments.
