History of Final Warning Catalyst

Overview

Final Warning Catalyst is a Triumph for the Final Warning, an Exotic Sidearm with Strand damage. Defeat 700 targets with Final Warning to complete it. The Final Warning catalyst unlocks the String Theory perk when this count is reached. The Destiny manifest lists no points for this triumph.

How to complete

1. Get Final Warning. It is the reward of the The Final Strand Exotic quest from Lightfall. You must finish the Lightfall campaign, fully upgrade your Strand subclass at Pouka Pond, and gather Strand Meditations from Neomuna to pay for the fragments. Return to Pouka Pond to be offered the quest, then complete its locations and the final time trial.
2. Get the catalyst. The catalyst is a random drop, and sources differ on where it drops. The named sources are Strikes, Gambit, Crucible and Vanguard Ops, with Xûr listed while he is in rotation. It is rare, so expect many completions before it appears.
3. Equip the catalyst on Final Warning. Then defeat 700 targets with the weapon. Farming the Shuro Chi checkpoint in the Last Wish raid is the most-cited option because it has many enemies. Equipping the weapon during ordinary activities also adds kills over time.

Perks

Final Warning's All at Once intrinsic marks targets while you hold the trigger and fires a stable burst. String Theory makes hits on marked targets deal extra damage and can refill the magazine.
