History of Festival Mask

Overview

Festival Masks are helmets earned during Festival of the Lost. They work as real armor pieces rather than ornaments. In 2023 you needed to wear one to receive Candy from slain enemies, which ties them to Haunted Sectors, the event's Lost Sector variant where summoning rituals spawn pumpkin-headed Hive Knights. Rules may differ in other years.

Acquisition

  • The first mask comes from Eva Levante by finishing the intro quest "Classic Carving".
  • More come from Event Challenges, for example "Heads Will Roll" (Tormentor Mask), "Candy Corner" (Pouka Mask) and "Happy Haunting Ground" (Mara Sov Mask) in 2023.
  • Masks dropped from Haunted Sectors can have high stats.
  • Each year adds new masks; 2024 added masks such as Cayde-6, Witness, Kadi 55-30, Cursed Thrall, Runner and Nezarec, with ornament variants of characters like Calus and Nimbus (varies by year).

Eerie Engrams

Eerie Engrams from Haunted Sectors can be focused into Exotic armor you don't own yet.
