Overview

Feast Upon the Gulf, O Vengeance Mine is a Triumph with a score of 15. It requires completing all encounters in the Warlord's Ruin dungeon with a full fireteam of Void subclasses. The dungeon has three encounters, and the triumph is one of the ten triumphs toward the Wrathbearer title.

The triumph objectives are: slaying Rathil, Broken Knight Chieftain; surviving the tempest in the second encounter; and putting Hefnd's vengeance to rest in the final encounter.

How to complete

A dungeon fireteam is three players, so the full fireteam is three Guardians, all using Void subclasses. Choose the Void subclass before entering and keep it for the whole run. Progress through the dungeon in order:

  1. The Climb: follow the path across the mountain and bridge. Do not open the trapped chest, which summons exploding Screebs.
  2. Rathil, Broken Knight Chieftain: Rathil summons Taken Blights inside Scorn lanterns. Cleanse them before the timer ends. More activated lanterns lengthen the damage phase. If Rathil cages the fireteam, destroy three Blighted Eyes to escape.
  3. Cell puzzle: after the first boss you are locked in cells in Windswept Crag. Use the skeleton tally marks to set the direction and number of rotations for the cog devices, then shoot the far-left blue key to open the cells.
  4. Brave the Tempest: the second boss is the Locus of Wailing Grief, a Taken Ogre. Shoot the floating Blight Ball to start the fight. Destroying the Blighted Eyes around the boss triggers the Snowstorm and Biting Winds debuff, which you can wait out near a burning pillar. After all six Eyes are down, two Scorn minibosses spawn. Cleanse their totems for Solar Orbs and bank four of them to start the damage phase.
  5. Hefnd's Vengeance: the final boss is a Taken Chimera. Killing a Scorn Broken Knight applies the Hex of Vengeful Corruption debuff. Only one lantern lowers the boss's shield, while the others extend the damage phase. Melee the Corrupted Hex Drinker in front of the Chimera to pass the debuff on, and keep your distance after, since Hex Drinkers can melee back. Meet each phase's health threshold to climb to the next platform. When the boss says it is immune, keep moving across the larger platforms while handling the Eyes. The final stand starts at the last 10% of its health.

Tips

  • Use Devour before each encounter, as recommended for Void fireteams.
  • Assign roles before the run and call out each encounter's mechanics, especially the lanterns and the Hex Drinker swap.
  • Practice the platforming and the cell puzzle, since those are where runs usually stall.

Rewards

Completing the triumph adds progress toward the Wrathbearer title. Related triumphs in the same set use the same setup with other subclasses: Arc (Carry My Roar Like Thunder) and Solar (Your Fury Burns Bright).
