History of Expunge: Corrupted Styx

Overview

Expunge: Corrupted Styx is the Taken-corrupted repeat of Expunge: Styx from Season of the Splicer, on The Moon, at Power 1300. See also Expunge: Corrupted Labyrinth and Expunge: Corrupted Tartarus.

Mechanics

• Same Authentication Key mechanic as the original: keys last about 10 seconds and refresh on blue Datacube plates.
• Adds Taken mines and propulsion traps, and Taken Blights that block passages and must be destroyed.
• Boss: Dikast, Oppressive Mind Reborn, a Vex Cyclops with two phases. In phase two, break a diamond for a key, jump over the boss and deposit it to remove the barrier. Bring anti-Barrier weapons.

Rewards

Corrupted Chests with high-stat armor and weapons with selectable final perks (TheGamer).
