Expedition: Europa

Overview

Expedition: Europa is the first of three missions in the Expedition Seasonal Arena playlist from Season of Plunder: a short matchmade (or Customize) treasure-digging activity for 1-3 players on Europa. Its siblings are Expedition: Cosmodrome and Expedition: Nessus; Europa was available in the season's first week, Cosmodrome in week two and Nessus in week three. The missions cannot be picked individually from the Director.

How to launch

Complete steps 1 and 2 of the "Sails of the Shipstealer" quest; step 3 unlocks the Expedition playlist, launched from the H.E.L.M. beside the Ketchcrash icon. The game data lists 1520 power. This is old seasonal content, so details may have changed.

Encounters and mechanics

Every Expedition follows the Europa template.

1. Drill sites (two): activate and defend the drill; it ejects golden engrams that you throw into the Treasure Haul cart before they expire (about 20 seconds). Signal jammers occasionally halt progress; clear the enemies around one to drop its shield, then destroy it. Unstoppable Ruffians (Champions) may spawn and steal treasure; killing them gives extra engrams.
2. Escort: stand next to the cart until it reaches the next site. Overload Saboteurs (Captains) stop it until killed.
3. Final arena: defend the full haul against a last wave and boss, the Colossus Gun'nar at the Asterion Abyss.

Rewards

Glimmer, gear and Savvy reputation. The end chest has green markers: with an active Treasure Map (from Ketchcrash Map Fragments) you can dig up bonus loot. The pool has six weapons and five armor sets (see rewards list).
