Exotic Archivist

Overview

Exotic Archivist is a Triumph that unlocks Exotic entries in the Collection by acquiring Exotic armor and weapons for the first time. Its description calls these some of the most powerful tools a Guardian can wield.

How to complete

The triumph has one objective with no progress counter, so it completes the first time you own an Exotic from each category:

1. Get your first Exotic armor piece. Exotic armor comes from decrypting Exotic Engrams and from quest and public event rewards.
2. Get your first Exotic weapon. Any Exotic weapon counts, so the first one you drop, buy or receive is enough.

Both entries are unlocked in the Collection as you obtain them. Engram decryption is the most reliable source, and once you hold a piece, Focused Decoding at Master Rahool can target a specific slot.

Tips

• Any Exotic from any expansion or season counts, so you do not need a specific item.
• Older guides (around 2020) described a staged version that paid an Exotic Cipher at one, three and seven Exotics. The current triumph is a single first-acquisition objective.
