Exodus Down is a Legendary armor set made from repurposed Exodus Black crew flight suits, with code by Failsafe. The base-game set comes from Failsafe on Nessus.
Overview
The set has 15 pieces, five each for Titan, Hunter and Warlock. Each class has a class item: the Exodus Down Mark for Titans, the Exodus Down Cloak for Hunters and the Exodus Down Bond for Warlocks. The other pieces are the Exodus Down Helm, Exodus Down Mask, Exodus Down Gauntlets, Exodus Down Grips, Exodus Down Plate, Exodus Down Vest, Exodus Down Strides, Exodus Down Greaves, Exodus Down Gloves, Exodus Down Robes, Exodus Down Hood and Exodus Down Boots.
The set is built around Armor Charge and Orbs of Power. Its bonuses reward generating and spending Armor Charge.
Acquisition
The set drops from Nessus activities. Sources point to Master Lost Sectors and Distortions on Nessus as the main farm, and to Flashpoints and Nessus engrams as random drop sources. Drops are random, and getting a full set can take many runs.
Failsafe is also listed as a vendor on Nessus, selling the pieces for 15 to 25 Legendary Shards plus 10 Nessus Tokens at level 20.
Release timing is not recorded consistently across sources, so check the current loot pool before farming. Sources disagree on whether the set is still obtainable: one loot pool guide dated June 2026 lists it as not currently obtainable.
Set bonuses
Emergency Electromagnet (2 pieces): When your shields break, the set instantly pulls in nearby Orbs of Power and ammo bricks. This is the set's main way to keep Orbs of Power flowing for other effects, such as fragments or artifact mods that trigger on picking up orbs.
Repurposed Charge (4 pieces): Whenever you gain, lose or spend an Armor Charge, you heal and gain damage reduction for a short time. The effect scales with the amount of Armor Charge changed. A guide reports that at maximum charges, the damage reduction is 35% for 12 seconds, and that you can keep it up by continuing to generate Orbs of Power.
Builds and synergies
Four pieces give the full bonus, which leaves the fifth armor slot free for an Exotic. The build is to generate Armor Charge constantly and use the healing and damage reduction from Repurposed Charge. Armor mods that generate orbs or charge fit this approach, such as Stacks on Stacks on the leg slot and Charged Up on the chest slot.
One guide pairs the set with the NPA Repulsion Regulator artifact, since both focus on Orbs of Power, Armor Charge and healing. That pairing was reported for a past season, so check it against the current artifact before relying on it.
The bonuses also work in Crucible matches.
