History of Essence of Jealousy

Overview

Essence of Jealousy is a legendary quest from Shadowkeep (introduced in Season of the Undying) on the Moon. Eris Morn's Lectern of Enchantment in Sanctuary sells Essences for Phantasmal Cores; each Essence is a non-expiring quest that you cleanse by completing objectives and then turn into a piece of gear using Nightmare Essence. It rewards the sword Night Terror. Expect roughly an hour or less of focused play. ProGameTalk reports the quest becomes available after processing Firewall Data Fragments in the K1 Revelation Lost Sector (via Eris's "Lunar Spelunker" bounty).

Walkthrough

1. Complete 50 activities on the Moon: Patrols, Public events and Lost Sectors. Lost Sectors are quick and also drop loot.
2. Defeat 25 combatants with Swords. Do this first, as it is the slowest part.
3. Claim Ralniks's Hatchet by defeating Ralniks, Blood of Kell in Traitor's Ketch (to the right of Anchor of Light, deep inside a large structure).
4. Return to the Lectern of Enchantment in Sanctuary and use the Lectern to infuse the cleansed Essence with Eris's magic.

Rewards

• Night Terror, a Legendary Sword with a hook-shaped tip.

• This is a Moon Essence; other Essences use different weapon types and named relics.
