History of Edge of Intent

Edge of Intent is the Warlock's Exotic Glaive, dealing Solar damage and using Special ammo. It was added with The Witch Queen.

Overview

• Intrinsic perk: //Edge of Intent//, a hybrid melee/ranged polearm. Ranged hits generate glaive energy, aiming down sights raises a frontal shield (draining energy over time), and the melee button performs a Kinetic melee combo.
• Signature trait: //Restorative Turret//. When weapon energy is full, it is consumed before firing so the next shot deploys a healing turret on impact, which helps keep allies alive.
• Archetype: Glaive (Special ammo, Energy slot).

Acquisition

1. Quest: Finish The Witch Queen campaign, then complete the seven "Report" missions on the Evidence Board at the Enclave (Resonance-Comp, Altar-Reflect, Scorn-Order, Relic-Data, Steps-Retraced, Pyramid-Inspect and Reverse-Lure). Finishing "Report: Reverse-Lure" gives the weapon pattern when completed on a Warlock.
2. Crafting: Once the pattern is unlocked it can be crafted at the Relic. After the quest is complete, the pattern can also drop in The Wellspring on any class.
3. Evidence Board vendor: if Reverse-Lure was completed on another class, a Warlock can buy the pattern from the Evidence Board. Since 6.3.0.5, once the pattern is unlocked on a character, each class's Exotic Glaive recipe becomes purchasable there.

Catalyst

Added in June 2026, the catalyst grants Heal Clip: reloading shortly after a final blow grants Cure to you and nearby allies. It drops randomly from Vanguard Ops, Crucible and Gambit activities.
