History of Edge of Intent
Revision 23366 by archivist at 2026-10-10 08:51:56
Edge of Intent is an Exotic Glaive for Warlocks (the quest is Warlock-flavoured) that deals Solar damage and uses Special ammo. It was added with The Witch Queen (listed as Season 16).
Overview
- Intrinsic perk: //Edge of Intent//, a hybrid melee/ranged polearm. Ranged hits generate glaive energy, aiming down sights raises a frontal shield (draining energy over time), and the melee button performs a Kinetic melee combo.
- Signature trait: //Restorative Turret//. When weapon energy is full, it is consumed before firing so the next shot deploys a healing turret on impact, which helps keep allies alive.
- Archetype: Glaive (Special ammo, Energy slot). Listed stats include 3 rounds in the magazine and 45 RPM.
- Version 4.1.0 increased the speed and acceleration of the healing turret projectile.
Acquisition
- Quest: Finish The Witch Queen campaign, then complete the seven "Report" missions on the Evidence Board at the Enclave (Resonance-Comp, Altar-Reflect, Scorn-Order, Relic-Data, Steps-Retraced, Pyramid-Inspect and Reverse-Lure). Finishing "Report: Reverse-Lure" gives the weapon pattern when done on a Warlock.
- Crafting: Once the pattern is unlocked it can be crafted at the Relic. Patterns can also drop from The Wellspring after the quest is complete.
- Evidence Board vendor: if the quest was finished on another class, the weapon can be bought from the Evidence Board.
Reported class requirements differ slightly between guides.
Catalyst
Added in June 2026, the catalyst grants Heal Clip: reloading shortly after a final blow grants Cure to you and nearby allies. As of the June 2026 catalyst update, Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit, or Exotic Order payouts are listed as acquisition sources. After obtaining it, defeat targets with Edge of Intent to complete the catalyst.
