Dreadnaught Chess Pieces

Overview

Dreadnaught Chess Pieces is a Triumph in Destiny 2 from Episode: Heresy worth 5 points. It asks you to collect the strange chess pieces found in Episode: Heresy activities and around the system.

There are 60 chess pieces in total. Collecting all 60 unlocks the The Opening triumph and grants some Strange Coins.

How to collect

Pieces are spread across the following areas:

• The Nether: pieces at The Founts, the Mausoleum, the Trenchway and the Hall of Souls, plus pieces that sit behind Nether secrets.
• Court of Blades: five pieces, including one for completing it, one from a random upgrade purchase and three in the IO arena, the Europa arena and above the Dreadnaught spawn portal.
• The Drifter: five pieces, collected one at a time from his inventory in The Tower.
• Taken Paths: six pieces, three from the Path of Resolve and three from the Path of Ambition.
• Other locations: Eris' apartment (four, none in her Throne World), Europa (two), and the European Dead Zone (two). The Tower also holds three.

Some pieces are random drops, so collection can take some time. The chess puzzle in Eris' Throne World is a separate goal, tied to the triumph En Passant.
