Dread Bearer

Overview

'''Dread Bearers''' are elite Nightmare enemies that first appeared in Season of the Haunted. They are the heavy targets of the Nightmare Containment public event, and they include Ultra Scorn Raiders, Chieftains and Abominations, plus Major Cabal Incendiors and Major Scorn Raiders.

Location

Dread Bearers appear in the first two tiers of Nightmare Containment. Major Raiders also appear in the third tier.

Combat

Dread Bearers move slowly toward the Nightmare Harvester, usually in pairs or groups of four, and fight like bosses with ranged attacks and ground smashes. Kill the Minor Chieftains and Raiders that spawn alongside them to collect Unstable Essence.

Rewards

Defeating a Dread Bearer drops a Core of Dread. Depositing Cores into the Nightmare Harvester produces Shards of Dread, which speed up the phase, and creates a Scythe Relic for the remaining enemies.

Boss fight

In the third tier, two Major Raiders spawn when the Nightmare of Navôta, Eir-Spawn, becomes phantasmal. They must be killed to make it damageable again.
