Overview
Douse the Forge is a Triumph in Destiny 2 with a value of 20. It requires the player to defeat Dûl Incaru, the Eternal Return without allowing any of her Fatesmiths to respawn during the encounter. Dûl Incaru is the final boss of The Shattered Throne.
How to complete
- Clear the opening Taken Psions first, since they multiply if ignored.
- Kill the three Fatesmith Knights, who start at the left, centre and right of the arena.
- Dûl Incaru periodically conjures a Void crystal behind herself. While it stands, living Fatesmiths are immune to damage. Destroy the crystal to make them vulnerable again.
- Collect the Finite Thought orbs that Fatesmiths drop. Each set grants a 45-second damage window, and up to three stacks increase the damage you deal to Dûl Incaru.
- Damage Dûl Incaru during the window. Cleanse the Finite Thought at the centre brazier before the timer runs out, because an expired buff kills its holder.
- Defeat Dûl Incaru before any Fatesmith respawns to complete the triumph.
Tips
- Kill the Fatesmiths first, then kill the boss in one phase. Weakening all three Knights together and collecting three stacks works well.
- Do not destroy the crystal early. Destroying it revives any dead Fatesmiths and summons another wave of Psions.
- Reports differ on whether the crystal or a full encounter cycle brings the Fatesmiths back. Plan to finish the boss before either happens.
- No specific weapon or subclass is required.
Objectives
- Dûl Incaru defeated
