Distorted Destination

A Distorted Destination is a Destination currently affected by a Distortion, one of the patrol enhancements added with Monument of Triumph.

Overview

Distortions move to a new Destination every hour, on a schedule, and each one stays corrupted for about an hour before its effects end. The Destinations Menu shows which Destination currently has a Distortion. Enemies there are empowered, normal loot can drop Strange Matter, and players gain Eclipse energy while the Distortion is active.

Activity loop

Public events in the Distorted Destination are the main activity. Finishing one starts an optional Distortion Breach, which rewards Monument of Triumph gear. Collecting Strange Matter from enemies and loot in the area fills a Strange Signal. At 50 Strange Matter the Signal forms on the map, and defeating guardians in that area opens a Reward Chest that can contain Ascendant Alloy. Only one Signal can be held at a time.
