Dead Messenger Catalyst

Overview

Dead Messenger Catalyst is a Triumph tied to the Exotic Grenade Launcher Dead Messenger. It requires 200 kills in each of the weapon's three modes, Arc, Solar and Void, for 600 kills in total. Applying the catalyst to the Shaped version of Dead Messenger also completes it. The catalyst gives the weapon the Turnabout perk, which grants an overshield when you break a combatant's shield, or a Guardian's shield while they use their Super.

This triumph is listed under the Catalytic Converter triumph. No score or reward is listed.

How to complete

1. Obtain Dead Messenger.
2. Unlock the catalyst. Reports differ on the source: one names the Vox Revelata quest, and another names completing the Vox Obscura mission on Master difficulty.
3. Get 200 kills in Arc mode, 200 in Solar mode and 200 in Void mode. Dead Messenger fires Void by default. Hold the reload button to cycle to Solar or Arc.

Tips

• Kills in the Throne World, PsiOps Battlegrounds or the Vox Obscura quest count toward the upgrade faster.
• Defeating Champions gives bonus progress toward all three objectives.
