History of Daughters of Crota

Overview

The Daughters of Crota are the four daughters of Crota: Hashladûn, Besurith, Kinox and Voshyr. After the Taken War they led the Hidden Swarm from the Moon. Lacking their brothers' brute strength, the sisters relied on scheming and manipulation.

Inquisition of the Damned

Hidden beneath the Moon, the sisters plotted revenge against the Guardians. They tried to recreate the essence of their grandfather Oryx using Nightmares from the Lunar Pyramid, which violated Sword Logic. The sisters built the Scarlet Keep to amplify their magic.

During a gladiatorial contest in the Pit, the sisters silenced doubters and assassinated rivals amid the chaos of Azavath's arrival. Savathûn encouraged them to take control of the Swarm and offered Zulmak as a puppet champion. The storyline is covered in Inquisition of the Damned.

Fates

Hashladûn lured a Guardian to the top of the Scarlet Keep spire to avenge her family and died in the fight there. Guardians also killed Besurith. Voshyr and her daughters were later incinerated by Osiris's Daybreak beneath the Enduring Abyss, about a year after Shadowkeep. Accounts of Kinox's fate differ, so it is not settled here.
