History of Cursebreaker

Revision 1243 by archivist at 2026-10-01 18:15:07

Cursebreaker is the title for the Dreaming City seal, added with Destiny 2: Forsaken. It is considered one of the easier titles but is heavily time-gated by the Dreaming City's weekly curse cycle.

Overview

  • Destination: Dreaming City.
  • Title granted: Cursebreaker (11 triumphs).
  • Time: roughly 6-8 weeks, driven by the Corrupted Eggs, Ahamkara Bones and rotating Ascendant Challenges.
  • Gilding / availability: the sources opened do not discuss gilding. They do not mark the seal as retired, but older guides use pre-sunset power levels (the dungeon is described at 570-590 power), so details may be outdated.

Triumphs

  1. Destinations: Dreaming City - complete the Dreaming City collections badge (armor, weapons, ghost shell, sparrow, ship, Wish-Ender etc.).
  2. Mission-Minded - complete the world missions "Broken Courier", "The Oracle Engine" and "Dark Monastery" from Petra Venj (about 15-20 minutes each).
  3. The Hive Champion - defeat Cragur, Plague of the Well, in the Blind Well (weakest curse week; needs a Tier 3 round).
  4. The Scorn Champion - defeat Sikariis, Plague of the Well (second curse week).
  5. The Taken Champion - defeat Inomina, Plague of the Well (strongest curse week).
  6. Into the Unknown - visit the Queen's Court by completing the Gateway Between Worlds bounty (about 10 minutes, strongest curse week).
  7. Never Again - complete the The Shattered Throne dungeon (expect 2-4 hours on a first clear).
  8. Suit Up - acquire a full set of Reverie Dawn armor.
  9. Gimme That Bow - earn the Wish-Ender exotic bow via the Sjur Eido quest, which includes the Shattered Throne.
  10. O Grave Robber Mine - find all 16 Ahamkara Bones (some gated behind Ascendant Challenges; about 4-6 weeks).
  11. Corrupted Omelette - destroy all 40 Corrupted Eggs with Wish-Ender equipped (about 6-8 weeks; Eggs also sit in Ascendant Challenges and the raid).

Tips

  • Get Wish-Ender early: it is needed for the Eggs and for Gimme That Bow, so everything else can proceed in parallel.
  • All six Ascendant Challenges must cycle through, so the seal cannot be done in under about six weeks.

Rewards

The Cursebreaker title.
