History of Cranial Spike III

Overview

Cranial Spike III is an upgrade tier of the Cranial Spike intrinsic on the Exotic Dead Man's Tale. The Destiny Game Wiki lists it as an Exotic Intrinsic Weapon Perk from Season 22.

Effect

The Destiny Game Wiki describes tier III as chaining precision hits granting bonus target acquisition and range, the same text it gives for tiers II and IV. Destinypedia describes the intrinsic differently: chaining precision hits grants bonus damage per stack in PvE, and increased reload speed, target acquisition and range per stack in PvP. The tier-to-effect mapping is not consistent between the two.

The Dark-Forged Trigger catalyst adds stack-based effects. Destinypedia says that at maximum stacks it raises hip-fire rate of fire by 50 and reduces damage per bullet by 20%.

Notes

The sources checked do not state how tier III is unlocked. Check the intrinsic tooltip in-game for the live values.
