The '''Cosmodrome''' is a destination on Earth: a derelict spaceflight complex in the ruins of Old Russia, once a Golden Age shipyard that launched colony ships before the Collapse. It is the opening destination of Destiny 2's free-to-play experience and is unlocked by completing the "A Guardian Rises" mission. (Also listed as The Cosmodrome.)
== Getting there ==
New players start here with the "A Guardian Rises" mission. It has two landing zones, The Steppes and Skywatch.
== Regions ==
- The Steppes (with Dock 13)
- Skywatch (Rusted Gangplank, Jovian, Lunar and Terrestrial Complexes)
- Mothyards
- Rocketyard (Kings' Watch and the Refinery)
- Forgotten Shore (The Grothos and The Mine)
- The Divide
- Dry Sea
== Activities ==
- Lost Sectors: Exodus Garden 2A in The Divide and Veles Labyrinth in Forgotten Shore. The two Cosmodrome Lost Sectors can be found by following the guides credited below.
- Public events, patrols and adventures against the resident enemy factions.
== Enemies ==
House of Dusk (Fallen), House of Salvation, the Red Legion (Cabal), the Lucent Brood and assorted Hive led by Navôta and Ak-Baral. These are current inhabitants per Destinypedia; older seasons differed.
== Lore ==
Before the Collapse the Cosmodrome was a planetary defence and launch site. A fragment of the Warmind Rasputin lies in the Seraphim Vault beneath it. Trivia: it is the only Destiny 2 destination without a dedicated armor set.
