Overview

Contraverse Hold are Exotic Warlock gauntlets from Forsaken-era Destiny 2. The intrinsic perk Chaotic Exchanger gives damage resistance while charging Void grenades and returns a random amount of grenade energy when a charged grenade hits. Stats favor Recovery and Discipline. The lore is by the scientist Tomek, who lost a "cosmic coin toss" against a parallel self.

Acquisition

• Exotic Engrams as a random drop (listed in game as "Exotic engrams; extremely rare world drops").
• Xûr, the weekend vendor, sells it occasionally for 23 Legendary Shards (per Destiny Game Wiki, which lists the current price).
• Once you own it, the Exotic Kiosk lets you reacquire a lost copy.
• The wiki's game data links the Warlock quest Into the Abyss (a Void subclass quest given by Ikora Rey), and Destinypedia lists it as a source. The quest's own steps reward a Void Aspect, so confirm in game whether it still gives these gauntlets.
