Compression Chamber

Overview

Compression Chamber is an intrinsic on Duality, a Shotgun. While hip-firing, the weapon fires a pellet spread. While aiming down sights, it fires a single high-damage slug.

How it plays

Use hip-fire up close, where the spread can hit several targets at once, and aim for the slug at range where a single shot needs to land. Switching between the two modes is a matter of whether you are aiming down sights.

Background

Duality is a Solar shotgun introduced in Season of the Hunt. Its season pass source has been removed, and it is now available from the Monument to the Lost Lights. Its exotic trait, On Black Wings, gives pellet final blows a stacking precision damage and reload speed buff, and precision slug hits extend that buff. The catalyst is unlocked by completing a quest from Banshee-44 and then getting 400 kills with the weapon.
