History of Chronicler

Overview

Chronicler is the lore seal, granting the Chronicler title for completing all ten Lore triumphs (one per Lore book). Most entries come from Destiny 2: Forsaken content: the Forsaken campaign, the Tangled Shore, the Dreaming City, and Lost Sectors in the European Dead Zone and on Mars. It is a collector-style seal that takes several hours of exploration.

Status: Chronicler was vaulted when Destiny 2: Beyond Light launched (November 2020) and can no longer be earned, per Bungie.net forum threads and search summaries (the Steam guide is titled "{VAULT}"). Bungie said progress toward vaulted titles would be saved, but no unvaulting has been announced. The time-gated Lore book Truth to Power was the main blocker: it needed 11 visits to Mara Sov's throne room, only possible when the Dreaming City curse is at its peak (every third week). Marasenna and Variks the Loyal (listed as Most Loyal in forum posts) were also time-gated.
