Caloris Basin

Caloris Basin is a named region on Mercury in the Destiny setting, and the name is drawn from Mercury's real Caloris impact basin. It is the setting of the 4v4 Crucible map Altar of Flame.

The name is also listed as an alias for the Mercury destination Fields of Glass. That destination is reached through The Gateway and its landing zone is The Lighthouse. Its hostile factions include the Red Legion and the Sol Collective, and its hostile races are the Cabal and the Vex. Vex activity there increased after the Traveler reawakened, and Guardians were sent to find Osiris and stop the Vex from merging with time.
