History of Buzzard

Overview

The Buzzard is a Legendary Sidearm that fires Kinetic damage. Its weapon description reads, "Circle 'round, great harbinger of death."

The weapon features the Adaptive Frame trait, described as a well-rounded grip that is reliable and sturdy. It includes the Extended Barrel perk, which provides a weighty barrel extension that increases range, decreases handling speed, and moderately controls recoil. The magazine utilizes the Alloy Magazine perk, allowing for faster reloads when the magazine is empty.

The Buzzard offers two selectable perk slots:

• Perk 1: Players may choose between Outlaw, which greatly decreases reload time after precision kills, or Fourth Time's the Charm, which returns two rounds to the magazine after rapidly landing precision hits.
• Perk 2: Options include Osmosis, which changes the weapon's damage type to match the user's Light-based subclass after using a grenade ability until the weapon is stowed, or Swashbuckler, which grants increased damage from melee kills and kills made with the weapon.

Acquisition

The Buzzard was initially available from a ritual quest given by Commander Zavala during Season of Dawn. It can currently be obtained from Nightfall strikes. The item cannot be reacquired from Collections.
