History of Boss Chest

Overview

The Boss Chest is the chest listed as the reward for the High-Value Target: Tactician secret public event. The event is found in the European Dead Zone (Trostland and The Sludge), on Titan at Siren's Watch, and on Io at The Rupture, and it does not occur on Nessus.

Obtaining

An Elite enemy spawns with a group of henchmen, and regular enemies keep respawning until the Elite is killed. Players have about five minutes before it disappears. Defeating it earns the Boss Chest.

The contents of the chest are not documented in the sources reviewed, so this page does not list them. High-Value Targets in Patrol and Gambit are separate: Gambit HVTs drop Motes of Dark and a Heavy Ammo Brick instead of a chest.
