The Books of Sorrow are a collection of lore texts about Hive history, religion, and philosophy. The first five books were compiled primarily by Oryx and recount the Hive’s origins on Fundament, their encounter with the Worm Gods, and their rise as a power in the universe.
The lore associated with Thorn refers to a seventh Book of Sorrow, a later set of writings that extends Hive philosophy beyond Oryx’s original volumes. The title “Thorn Book of Sorrow” is used here as a redirect to this broader lore subject.
