History of Barrier Knight

Overview

Barrier Knight is a Hive Knight of the Champion rank. It fights like an ordinary Knight until it has lost a large part of its health. Then it covers itself in a dome-shaped shield and regenerates behind it, and it can still fire from inside the shield.

Breaking the shield

The dome has to be broken and the Knight staggered with anti-barrier damage, such as the anti-barrier perks a Seasonal Artifact provides. More generally, Barrier Champions are stunned by Solar while radiant, by Void volatile rounds, by Strand unraveling rounds, or by Exotic weapons such as Wish-Ender. Without anti-barrier damage the Knight regains its health.

Variants

Destinypedia lists a Barrier Disruptor and an Envoy of Savathûn as related variants, though it gives no details for either.

Appearances

The Barrier Knight first appeared in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and is listed in Season of the Worthy and Season of Arrivals, then in Destiny 2: Beyond Light during Season of the Hunt, Season of the Splicer and Season of the Lost, and in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen during Season of the Risen and Season of the Seraph.
