Aspirational Construct

Overview

The Aspirational Construct is a Vex Hydra and the main boss of the Polysemy mission in Season of the Wish. It is a modified Sol Divisive Hydra, given a core of Darkness so that it can serve as the eyes and ears of the Witness. Its head design was later reused for Epoptes, Lord of Quanta, without the foliage and with a choral Vex colour scheme.

Encounter

The boss takes no damage until its immunity shield is broken. Arc-Charged Minotaurs spawn near it and drop Arc Craniums, which are used to crack the shield. Once the shield is down, the boss summons damaged Vex reinforcements. At one-third health it uses Imminent Detain to trap the player in a shield that has to be shot free. Defeating it clears the area and unlocks the room holding the Egg that the mission is about.
