History of Artifice armor

Overview

Artifice armor is Legendary Armor with an extra mod slot. Bungie's design lead described it as debuting with the Dungeon Grasp of Avarice to give more endgame loot beyond Adept weapons. The slot takes a +3 stat mod of your choice at no armor-point cost, so four pieces give up to +12 stats.

Where to get it

Artifice armor drops only from Master difficulty Dungeons, such as Grasp of Avarice, Duality, Spire of the Watcher, Warlord's Ruin and Ghosts of the Deep. The slot is unlocked with no materials.
